- 1 (28 oz. or 800g.) can diced tomatoes, drained
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and pepper to taste

Heat the oven 350ºF (175ºC). Bake the sausage for 30 minutes.

In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté onions until they become tender. Stir in basil and tomatoes. Mix in the cooked sausage.

Cover the mixture with foil and bake it 40 minutes. Uncover the mixture and continue baking for an additional 15 minutes.
